Incorporated in 1983, R.T. Nunes & Sons, Inc. started as an asphalt driveway company and has developed into a multi-million dollar site work and utility construction firm. R.T. Nunes has employed in excess of 25 people. The company is diversified in excavation, road building, site development, water-sewer-drainage utility services, underground power and communication service, concrete flatwork, asphalt pavement and landscape construction. These services are provided to the commercial, governmental and private sectors. We also include construction management, water pipe supply & service, property management & development. Soon to come in 2010, a concrete manufacturing plant as our associated companies.
Ron Nunes, president of R.T. Nunes & Sons, Inc., began the company with just three employees and still oversees the day-to-day operations. R.T. Nunes & Sons, Inc. is a Rhode Island certified Minority Business Enterprise.
Kevin McGee represents R.T. Nunes & Sons and has served as its General Manager since 1990. Born in 1958, and a lifelong resident of Coventry, Rhode Island, Kevin is the eldest of four sons of the late Fred and Claire McGee. Married since 1979 to his high school sweetheart Joanne, they have two adult children, Shannon St. Angelo of Coventry and Shaun McGee of New York City. Kevin and his wife are the proud grandparents of Isabella and Domenic St. Angelo.
In addition to being employed since 1990 with R.T. Nunes & Sons, Inc., he has also been a realtor with Ropal Realty since 2002. He served as President of the Coventry Town Council from 1998 to 2002, past Chairman of the Coventry Democratic Town Committee and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Utility Contractors of Rhode Island and the Pawtuxet Valley Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Center.
In his free time, Kevin loves watching his two little “angels” grow. His hobbies are gardening, playing golf and reading. He and his wife love to spend time completing their cabin in Maine and look forward to developing their lot in Florida for a winter retirement home.
